When performing live are there certain stage aspects that excite you?
The cohesiveness we share as a band definitely impresses me. Because attention to detail is a top priority, we consistently create a feeling connection. I love when I am out front as a lead vocalist. The joyful experience connecting us to and from our audience is a terrific feeling. I favor high energy R& B, Funk with Jazz, such as Earth Wind and Fire because it makes everyone want to move.

Where did you tour internationally?

I extensively toured Europe, Saudi Arabia, Cora Egypt and Cuba from 1979 to1987 as the drummer and front person with the band Sound Express.

Tell us about some of the other bands you played with and enjoyed?

Through out my career I have worked with amazing and talented entertainers. NTRANZE marks the third band Rick Ramos and I performed in together. We are former members of the JJ Starr Band and Mega Stars from 1989 through 1993. The Renol Band and the Dramatic Santana Band were a lot of fun. I have also created and managed different bands over the years.

If you could choose any venue in the world to perform, where would it be?

I want to perform at the famous Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

What inspires you to create original music?

Observing people and living my life inspires my creativity when writing music.

Please share about your two songs that receive radio play?

‘Beach House' is a soulful R&B song reminiscent of Beach style music. My inspiration came directly from the old days when I lived in a great beach house filled with endless partying, dancing and romance. ‘Carolina Moon’ has deep meaning to me because I am born and raised in the Carolinas. The song has a funky feel to it and reflects my perceptions while gazing at a beautiful Carolina moon.

What are your favorite cover songs that NTRANZE plays?

I really enjoy the Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye medleys we perform. Stevie Wonder’s, ‘Sir Duke’ and ‘I Wish’ are unique energized songs. Marvin Gaye is one of the all time greatest artists with songs such as, ‘What’s Going On’ and ‘Mercy, Mercy Me.’

Where do you see yourself in five years and what vehicles are you driving?

I see myself as very prosperous and able to break from the constancy of endless performing. There are many facets to the entertainment industry I will explore on a more in-depth basis. I maintain interest in music band management, song writing and recording. My dream car is a 1982 purple Corvette Stingray with T-tops and original chrome mag wheels.

What is your favorite form of relaxation?

I love spending time with my family, particularly my daughters.

What is your vision of success and how does it help the world?

My sincere purpose is to excel within the entertainment industry. I truly believe my commitment to excellence guarantees success. Being a team player ensures the team gets a win. Nurturing a feeling connection with the music listener inspires excitement and joy. Happy people positively influence the world for the better.
