Keyboards
became an intricate part
of my life with my first
piano lesson at age four.
Among my many teachers,
my grandmother an already
refined pianist,
significantly contributed
the most to my musical
development. She
instructed me in the art
of playing by ear and
encouraged my desire to
express musically.
In 1998 I
turned professional in
Blacksburg, VA. Under the
band name Good
Life we recorded
and produced an original
self titled CD.
I earned a
Marshall University
Jazz Scholarship' and as
a pianist for my college
jazz ensemble I enjoyed
playing concerts and
festivals. Performing at
the Clay Center opening
in Charleston, SC and
receiving an invitation
from Notre Dame Jazz
Festival remains
meaningful to me.
My greatest
musical strength is
spontaneous
improvisation. Whether
jamming on cover tunes or
my own songs I feel
centered when locking
into the right groove and
expanding upon it. When
the music is progressive,
the experience is without
limits.
